Grading Process - UCB x359.5

Evaluation
You may take the class for a letter grade or Credit/No Credit. It is your responsibility to check whether or not each choice fulfills the requirement of the Teacher Credentialing Commission. Please communicate any concerns or problems to the instructor immediately.

Before beginning this course, make sure that your skill level meets the baseline prerequisites: Familiarity with computer basics such as toolbars, the mouse, copying, saving, and so on. In addition, participants should have basic familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets, simple e-mail functions, and searching the Internet.
Attendance & Punctuality
You must attend every in-class session. Some of the training exercises will be presented only in class. You must be there to learn them. Do not expect to make up classes by reading. Many of the requirements involve a product, not just knowing the concepts. Do not jeopardize your opportunity to learn the skill by missing the in-class sessions.

On-line classes will be treated in the same manner. All projects are due at 5:30pm on the day of the online class. If no online class work is turned in by the due date & time, it will be considered an absence for that day of class. Grades will be lowered by a letter grade for each absence.

This is an entire semester course that takes place in 4-days, therefore there is a lot of coursework. If you do not have enough time to complete the coursework described in the syllabus and the homework assignments during this semester, you should re-enroll during another semester when you have an adequate amount of time to complete the projects.

More than two absences will result in no class credit. Punctuality will be noted.
Due Dates
Projects must be turned in on the appointed day. Late projects will not be accepted, unless pre-authorized by the instructor well before the due date. No project will be accepted after the last class meeting, which is the final due date.
